My client… Is an award-winning conference business across the Tech & Health sectors, due to expansion a role has arisen for an experienced SSD used to selling whilst managing a team.
Team Management
Foster culture of deep customer, category and portfolio knowledge and a client centric sales approach.
- Motivate, encourage, and support whilst maintaining a disciplined hard working and
‘transparent input’ environment.
- Overall responsibility for hitting event/quarterly portfolio sales targets including Marketing Solutions targets.
- Recruiting and developing a high performing team, including training, coaching and mentoring to deliver above target results.
- Working with and meeting regularly with the other heads of the other functions.
- Managing the agreed SpEx KPIs – analysing over or under performance, communicating it and addressing it.
- Continually working towards agreed milestones and communicating clear plans if/when missed alongside identifying opportunities for over-performance.
- Thoroughly developed rebooked campaign and retention strategy and ensure rebook campaigns are being followed and hit target.
- Work at least 12 months ahead to both plan resources and ensure roles are filled in a timely manner.
Personal Sales
Key account management, identifying and growing the top 15 existing clients, creating an action plan for each.
- Identifying the top potential key clients and creating an action plan for each.
- Lead from the front in terms of delivering against targets, average deal value, conversion rates and accurate forecasting.
Strategic Accountability
- Analyse market trends with Portfolio Directors to have meaningful impact of the growth strategies.
- Validation of new events, joining 10+ calls per week
- Actively spotting new topic areas / ideas.
- Generating new revenue streams, including marketing solutions.
- Understanding market dynamics and changes.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years selling high value sponsorship, exhibition, or advertising packages in the events world
- Proven record of portfolio selling and growth – including increasing existing client spend and new business generation.
- Proven record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets
- Demonstrable ability to deliver revenue on new products and navigate new spaces.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised with strong time and workload managements skills along with a strong attention to detail
